FOMO's help centre states one referral reward: a new account created with a referral code gets 10% off trading fees, for the lifetime of the account. FOMO's standard trading fee is 0.50% per trade, on Solana orders of 190 USDC and above and at every size on the other five chains. Ten percent off that rate is 0.45%, not the discount some pages promise. FOMO's own landing page for the code VIP10 shows the code itself and the words “Enter your code in-app to get 10% off fees”. We rendered that page on 3 September 2026. There is no second, larger discount hidden behind a different code.

We surveyed every publicly promoted FOMO code on 3 September 2026. Of 16 codes, 10 advertise the real 10%, and 6 advertise more than the programme pays:

why the number gets inflated

FOMO's help centre states that a referrer earns 25% of the trading fees paid by anyone who signs up under their code. That commission is the same no matter what the landing page promises the new user, so a page pays no cost for overstating the discount and has an obvious reason to do it: a bigger number reads better than the true one. The 25% pays the referrer regardless of the invited user's actual discount, which stays 10% either way.

the hedge wording that cannot be redeemed

Some of the pages promising 100% off carry a line close to “eligible users may receive up to 100% off on eligible fees, subject to current promotional terms”. That sentence is built to survive a fact-check without paying out: “up to”, “eligible users”, “eligible fees” and “subject to current promotional terms” each narrow the promise until nothing in it is guaranteed. FOMO's referral programme has no tier that wording could describe, and a code can only be entered once, during initial signup. FOMO's help centre states that a code cannot be changed or swapped once it is tied to an account, so a user who signs up expecting the hedge wording to resolve to 100% off receives the standard 10% and has no way to undo the choice.

Google's AI summary repeated SAVE100 and OFF100 as real offers when we checked the query on 27 August 2026. An AI summary quoting a claim is not verification of the claim. It is often the fastest way an overstated number reaches a new reader.
