FOMO fees explained: the 0.50% headline and the $0.95 catch

FOMO advertises a flat 0.50% fee per spot trade. That number is real, and it hides the detail that matters most: small trades pay a minimum fee that raises the true rate several times over. This page shows the actual cost at every trade size, as of 11 August 2026.

spot trading fees

The standard rate is 0.50% of the trade on Solana, Base, BNB Chain and Monad. Ethereum trades pay 0.50% plus network gas. A set of major tokens (such as BTC, ETH and SOL) trades at a reduced 0.05%. On Solana, orders under 200 USDC pay a $0.95 minimum fee instead of the percentage. The smaller the trade, the more that minimum hurts:

Trade sizeFee you payEffective rate
$20$0.95 (minimum)4.75%
$50$0.95 (minimum)1.90%
$100$0.95 (minimum)0.95%
$190$0.95 (minimum)0.50%
$200$1.000.50%
$1,000$5.000.50%

The practical rule: trade in blocks of $200 or more and you always pay the flat 0.50%. Ten $20 buys cost $9.50 in fees. One $200 buy costs $1.00.

Public protocol data backs this up: DefiLlama tracked FOMO's realized spot fee rate at roughly 1.59% — about three times the headline — because so many users make small trades that hit the minimum.

perpetual futures fees

Perps on FOMO cost 0.05% per trade, and the underlying venue (Hyperliquid) charges its own taker fee of roughly 0.045% on top. Total: about 0.095% per side for a typical taker order. That is competitive with trading on Hyperliquid through most front ends.

Apple Pay purchases are the fastest way in — and carry the provider's spread on top of the trading fee.

deposits and withdrawals

FOMO does not publish one complete fee document. The numbers above are what we verified in-app and from public protocol data on 11 August 2026. Always check the fee line in the app before you trade.

the one discount that always works

FOMO's referral program gives new accounts 10% off standard trading fees for the lifetime of the account. On the flat rate that means 0.45% instead of 0.50% — on every trade, forever. There is no code with a bigger discount; 10% is the program's standard rate. Codes promising 50–100% off do not match how the program works.

fee questions people ask

What is the minimum deposit on FOMO?

There is no meaningful minimum deposit — but because of the $0.95 minimum fee, deposits under $100 are expensive to trade with. Fund enough to trade in $200 blocks if you can.

Does the referral discount apply to the $0.95 minimum?

The discount applies to standard trading fees. On trades above the minimum threshold you always save the full 10%. Verify the fee line in-app on smaller trades.

Are there hidden fees?

The costs people miss are the small-trade minimum, the card provider's spread on Apple Pay purchases, and slippage on volatile tokens. The app shows each of them before you confirm a trade — read the fee line every time.
