Short answer: FOMO states that bank withdrawals are processed and land within 3 business days, with weekends and bank holidays extending that. Withdrawing as crypto to another wallet takes seconds and costs only the network fee. The step people forget is that you must sell first — and that sale is charged at the normal trading fee.
The sequence, in order
Close the positions you want to cash out
You cannot withdraw a memecoin to a bank. Selling back to a stablecoin or SOL costs 0.50%, with the $0.95 Solana minimum on small positions.
Pick the route
Bank transfer for spending money. Crypto transfer if the funds are going to another wallet or exchange.
Check the quoted fee on the confirmation screen
FOMO publishes no fixed withdrawal fee schedule. The number on that screen is the number that applies.
Confirm and wait
Crypto: seconds to minutes. Bank: up to 3 business days per FOMO's own statement.
What the round trip actually costs
Almost every guide to this app quotes the fee as a single 0.50%. That is the cost of half a trade. You pay it going in and again coming out:
| Position size | Fee in | Fee out | Round trip |
|---|---|---|---|
| $50 | $0.95 | $0.95 | $1.90 (3.80%) |
| $200 | $1.00 | $1.00 | $2.00 (1.00%) |
| $1,000 | $5.00 | $5.00 | $10.00 (1.00%) |
1.00% is the real number to plan around, not 0.50%. A token has to rise 1% before a trade breaks even, and 3.8% on a $50 position. That is the arithmetic behind most disappointing memecoin results, and it has nothing to do with picking the wrong coin.
Why a bank withdrawal takes days when crypto takes seconds
The blockchain part is instant. The delay is the banking rails at the other end — the same reason a card refund takes days. FOMO notes that larger withdrawals may get additional review, which is standard practice for payment processors and not a sign of a problem.
If you need funds quickly and hold your own wallet, withdrawing as crypto and cashing out through an exchange you already have is usually faster than waiting on the bank leg.
What to check if a withdrawal seems stuck
- Count business days, not calendar days. A Friday request can legitimately land on Wednesday.
- Crypto withdrawals: find the transaction on Solscan or the relevant explorer. A confirmed transaction has left FOMO, and the delay is at the destination.
- Name mismatch: bank accounts in a different name than the account holder's are a common rejection cause across all payment processors.
- Still nothing: FOMO's support runs through the app and its answers pages. We are an independent guide and cannot access your account.
Your wallet outlives your withdrawal
Because FOMO wallets are non-custodial, the account holds funds you control rather than a balance FOMO owes you. That is reassuring for solvency and irrelevant for speed — the bank leg is still a bank leg.
Skip the bank route if
You are moving funds to another trading venue. Withdrawing to fiat and re-depositing costs you the spread twice, plus days. Send the crypto directly instead. If you are leaving because of cost, the alternatives page and the GMGN comparison cover where the fee maths lands elsewhere.
